Safety on Campus

HandsOn Therapy strives to keep all students safe while on campus.  On average, the school staffs one responsible staff member for ever six students.  Alarms are installed and used 24 hours a day.  Only front entrances are unlocked during open school hours.  Fire evacuation procedures are reviewed thoroughly with students in orientation.

 

Drugs, Alcohol and Weapons

The transferring, use and/or possession of alcoholic beverages drugs, narcotics, controlled substances, inhalants and/or paraphernalia utilized in conjunction with drug use is prohibited on school premises.  Engaging in the transfer, use or possession of these materials will not be tolerated.

Students exhibiting common signs of intoxication (I.e., slurred speech, disruptive or boisterous behavior, lack of coordination or smell of alcoholic beverages) will be asked to leave the premises. The student will not be allowed to re-enter his/her class until he/she had met with the school director.

Students in possession of prescription drugs that are not prescribed for the person in possession is in violation of the drug policy and will be asked to leave the premises.  The student will not be allowed to re-enter his/her class until he/she has met with the school director.

Weapons of any kind are forbidden on school premises, which includes all parking lots and buildings.  The term “weapon” is defined as firearms, (carried with or without a license), knives and any potentially dangerous object not customarily used in the performance of massage therapy.  Violation of this rule will subject the student to immediate dismissal.
