Admission Requirements

HandsOn Therapy seeks students who have a desire to embark on a new career and those who project a reasonable probability of achieving the educational requirements needed.

Minimum entry level requirements are:

High School Diploma or GED

Physical, mental, financial and emotional capabilities of completing all areas of the program

Free of Criminal Convictions within the past 5 years (a student may be ineligible for registration if he/she has been convicted of or entered a plea of nolo contendere or guilty to or received deferred adjudication to crimes of offenses involving prostitution or sexual offenses; or convicted of a violation of the “act” within the last five years)

Driver’s license or other valid form of picture identification

Age 17 years or older with written parental consent for minors

Admission Procedures

First, complete an application for admission in person, online at this website or via email.

Next, schedule an appointment with our Admissions Department. They will gladly set up a convenient time for you to visit our campus. You will have the opportunity to:

Tour our facility

Obtain more details on our programs and workshops

Select the class of your choice (based on availability)

Complete your enrollment paperwork

Please be aware that a $250 deposit and a copy of your High School Diploma or G.E.D. is needed for complete enrollment. Our class size is limited. A maximum of only 20 students are allowed per class. Enroll early to ensure the availability of your choice.

Financial Aid

HandsOn Therapy offers school funded financing and is approved for outside funding from various organizations:

Veterans Administration

Alliance/FFA Loans

Texas Dept of Rehabilitative Services

(formerly Texas Rehabilitation Commission and Texas Commission for the Blind)

SLM Financing, a division of Sallie Mae

 

There are no scholarship programs in place at this time.

Prospective students who want to apply for Financial Aid should contact the Business Office. They will discuss the students needs and thoroughly review all funding options available. We support the policy that the financial need of the student is to be assessed before financial aid can be provided.

A student must be funded for the entire basic program, and in some cases can receive funding to include extended certificate or advanced programs, and equipment.

The Business Office will help students complete the necessary forms and explain needed documentation. We recommend that interested students begin the process for funding as early as possible to ensure that the necessary funds are in place prior to starting classes
